Can you believe it? My missionary will be out for a year officially on December 16...holy cow. At first, and this is horrible, it was almost nice because he wasn't making the younger kids scream. Then, it just seemed like he was on a very long vacation. Now that it's almost been a year, I miss him like crazy! I had no idea how much of a friend he was, as well as a son that tortured his siblings. Well, if I drank, I'd toast a glass of champagne...or better yet, sparkling cider...to one year...and one to go.

Time to start what, you ask? Time to get my rear in gear and start posting again. I'm finally getting serious about making jewelry and even "opened" an Etsy store. My Store

Now, I need to put more things IN the store. I've got a couple of friends that are putting my stuff in their shops, so a lot of my stuff is there. Here's some pics...tell me what you think. The first is a...something...I made to put on my friend's 1940s beaded purse that she carried as her bouquet when she got married. She was gorgeous! (the bag didn't look too shabby, either).

This is what Jacob- now 5- asked me. Writing it down makes it a little more obvious what he was trying to ask me but driving, I was clueless. As it turns out, the correct answer for him was not "huh? I don't know". The answer actually is Z...ohhhhh. He then went on to make letters out of my neck pillow (look mom, if I squish it together, it makes an "o"). Whatever works, right?

I am sooo itchy!!!

Why am I itchy, you ask? It's due to the fact that I thought how hard could it be to jump a curb? They're a lot higher that I thought. I should clarify that I was actually riding a mountain bike and didn't just try to, you know, jump up onto a curb. Anyway, I tried to jump up on to a curb and ended up flat on my face (literally) on the grass...I'm allergic to grass. Some guy in a truck stopped to ask if I was OK. I had to tell him that I did it on purpose...well, not the landing on the face part. His comment? "Pull up harder." Gee, thanks. I've got to give him credit, I would have been laughing so hard, I wouldn't have been able to talk. The whole thing went a lot differently in my head.

These are the pictures I had on the original blog. It was March? April? We went to Tiff's house to take family photos using Carl's fancy-schmancy camera for taking evidence pictures. I wonder if the department would REALLY mind if it "disappeared". Anyway, it went pretty much like you'd figure. Abby-J didn't cooperate till Tiff bribed her with strawberries. Then Holly and Jason stopped by and Abby-J turned sweet as sugar. She LOVES Holly. All-in-all, there wasn't much crying and we had a ball. (Ask Carl to tell you about him, Holly, and the snake).

What's the doc know, anyway?

So I actually made an appointment and WENT to see the psych doc. He asked me a ton of questions that I had already answered on the tons of forms I had to fill out (why do they do that?). He made me do a couple of "tests" and blah, blah, blah. So, anyway, it turns out that I have bipolar disorder, ADD, OCD, and an eating disorder. (you're a genius, doc)
Here's the thing, I was really surprised (stop laughing) that he told me I had all of this stuff going on. No matter that I've been saying it myself, for years. (Seriously, stop laughing...). Here's how my thought process goes:
I figured that maybe I've hoodwinked all of the doctors into believing I have disorders and/or illnesses. Now, WHY anyone (including myself) would want that, I have no idea...attention maybe? As it turns out, this kind of thinking is part of being part of the kookoo crowd. Hmmmmm.
If that's the case, then maybe some of my convoluted thinking is actually not "me" me, but "DNA" me. Once again.....hmmmmmm. So, let's say that I do something that might be considered "nice". Let's say that it made me feel all happy and good to do it. I then wonder if I REALLY did it to feel better about myself or to (horrors) LOOK like I was doing something nice. Maybe, I just did it for the blessings? Stay with me here...if I did it for myself, would the blessings be negated? In the end, did I help anyone? Why are my pants fitting tighter than usual? Why are my kids fighting...again? Oh yeah, is it normal to be embarrassed to help someone because you don't know if your motives are truly pure?
Seriously.

So, no one seemed to be able to access the other blog I tried to write; therefore, I am trying again. I even have my own domain name (Brian, are you impressed?). I'm going to try to bring the stuff from the "other blog" over...can you say "cut and paste"?
